Directions to Camp Roosevelt Firebird
There are many easy ways to reach the camp—by car, plane or bus. We’re happy to help with travel arrangements. Our camp staff pick-up our campers from the Akron/Canton, Pittsburgh or Cleveland Airports.
We are:
45 minutes from nearby Akron/Canton Airport;
90 miles from Cleveland;
70 miles from Pittsburgh and a little more than two hours from Columbus.
Refer to the Google Map for step by step directions. Cell range around camp is spotty, so GPS systems are not always reliable. We recommend printing out directions.

Driving Directions
From the North:
Take I-77 South through Canton to exit 193 for Zoar-Bolivar (State Route 212). Turn left (east) and follow 212 approximately 20 minutes into Sherrodsville. Continue on 212 through Sherrodsville and drive east on 212 for another 1.5 miles. Look for the Roosevelt Firebird sign on the left. The sign is placed right at your left turn for Camay Road. Now, follow the signs to camp. Take the left onto Camay Road and proceed about 600 yards to T. This is Caddy Road. Take a left onto Caddy Road (Route 52). Proceed about 1.5 miles, then take a right on Dublin Road SW. Continue on Dublin Road SW for 1.6 miles. This gravel road dead ends at the camp’s front gate.
From the South:
I-77N to the New Philadelphia exit (State Route 39 east). Turn right off of the ramp and go straight through three lights. At the 4th light turn left continuing to follow 39 east. Follow 39 approximately 10 miles into Sherrodsville and turn right on State Route Route 212. Follow 212 out of town 1.5 miles. You will see the Roosevelt Firebird sign on the left. Now, follow the signs to camp. Turn left and proceed about 400 yards, then take another left on Caddy Road. After 1.5 miles, take a right on Dublin Road SW. Continue on Dublin Road for 1.6 miles. This gravel road dead ends at the camp’s front gate.
From Pittsburgh:
Take Route 22 west toward Cadiz and exit at Ohio State Route 151. Continue on 151 West through Scio. Approximately 7 miles out of town you will come to Ohio State Road 212. Turn right and follow 212 West 6 miles until you see the Roosevelt Firebird sign on the right. Turn right and proceed about 400 yards, then take a left on Caddy Road. After 1.5 miles, take a right on Dublin Road SW. Continue on Dublin Road for 1.6 miles. This gravel road dead ends at the camp’s front gate.
From Columbus and the West:
Ohio State Route 16 East to Port Washington. Take Ohio State Route 36 East to Uhrichsville. Then follow the signs for US Route 250 toward Cadiz. Look for Ohio State Route 151. Turn left on 151 North and follow 7 miles to Ohio State Route 212. Turn left and follow 212 West 6 miles until you see the Roosevelt Firebird sign on the right. Turn right and proceed about 400 yards, then take a left on Caddy Road. After 1.5 miles, take a right on Dublin Road SW. Continue on Dublin Road for 1.6 miles. This gravel road dead ends at the camp’s front gate.
